we are trapped in our own minds

I've always been thinking about how weird our perception of the world is. sure we can see, we can taste, hear and feel etc etc but we experience these things in isolation from other people. how do we know that others perceive the world like us? our green could be red to them and we would never know. our perception of the world is ours alone and we use language to bridge the gap. but language is limited. it's valuable for sure but it does not convey what we experience to the smallest details, it only gives a broad idea.

I came across this article today and it's just weird. humans can experience colours that we never experienced before but that breeds another question. how do we convey what we saw if there is not even a concept of it in our language? and by extension does the language we speak effect how we perceive the world?

I don't know, I only have questions and not answers. all I can do is invite you to ponder with me about how unique our experiences in life are.
