weeknotes?
I'm trying to make this a series. idk if it will be weekly or monthly but I'll try my best to update it because if I don't write I seem to forget stuff.
started brewing coffee with a paper filter instead of the metal mesh filter that came with my coffee machine. it filters the coffee better and now my last sips aren't ruined by coffee grounds. hooray!
started brewing tea with turkish tea mixed with ceylon tea. funny story, ceylon tea is known as smuggled tea in turkey. in order to protect the local tea production it was illegal to import tea from abroad and it stayed that way till the 80s I believe. it was smuggled to the country via iraq, syria or iran so that's why people call it smuggled tea, the name stuck ever since.
I've never been a tea person even though I'm living in the country with the highest consumption of tea per capita. I've always preferred coffee but now with mixing I get more of a strong flavour that scratches a similar itch to coffee. I'm starting to enjoy it.
updated my upvote button, it has a fancier styling and more importantly doesn't display the number of upvotes. my brain seems to like numbers and if there is anything that can go up it seems like I am trying to do everything to make it go up. I have to remind myself this is my blog and I'm blogging for myself, not for some arbitrary number and in fact most of my favourite posts don't have a lot of toasts. all credits for this go to bearming theme btw.
this week is singlehandedly the worst week I've had in a long while. every morning I don't want to wake up and it's a battle to get out of bed. I don't feel excited to go to school because I know it's going to be bad. if I survive this week and the upcoming weeks I can survive anything lmao. I'm a ball of anxiety 24/7 and I'm always on edge, I can't relax. dishes are piling up in the sink. I'm always sleep deprived, I'm running on only caffeine. it's not a fun time.
okay so I'm writing this post throughout the week and today is friday, I SURVIVED WEEK ONE!!! I'M MAKING A BIG OMELETTE FOR BREAKFAST AND STEAK AND FRIES FOR DINNER! HELL YEAH!
