weeknotes 2: electric boogaloo
life
weekend was fantastic, I slept 12 hours on saturday. guess that happens when you are sleep deprived all week huh.
I had a nice interaction with a security guard at the mall. she said I seemed familiar and asked me if I was a doctor at a nearby hospital. I immediately said yes then corrected myself by saying "just a student though". I was carrying my stethoscope in my backpack so she might've seen it in the x-ray scanner and came to that conclusion. still this is the first time something like this happened to me and I'll not forget it for a while lol.
also I went to the hooverphonic concert this week. even though I didn't really listen to their music prior to going to the concert it was fire. was a nice change for me.
music
I started binging vanhelga and lantlôs albums whilst cooking or folding laundry over the weekend. I listened to them before but just couldn't get into some of their albums. I'm also slowly getting the appeal of slowdive and shoegaze in general. I'm more of a blackgaze guy but shoegaze can be nice.
blog things
I also overhauled the entire blog theme... again. I loved how modular bearming theme was and decided to base my style on that. one of the main things I wanted was the gallery function of it. (i couldn't make it work with my current theme) idk how much I'll use it but it's nice that it's there.
oh and I added a new page. I saw sylvia's rss feed page and wanted something similar. I know a lot of people know about rss but I wanted my blog to be accessible to someone who has no idea what rss is.

speaking of rss, I marked everything as read on my feed reader and I have no idea why I didn't do that before. it feels so much cleaner now and I can keep up with new stuff. it's easier to filter feeds I will never read as well.
I'm also trying to get more use out of my rss reader with rss bridge lately. it has better support for bluesky feeds (with images and videos) and has support for whole bunch more services too. it's pretty neat.
