weeknotes 4
it's wild that i've been writing these weeknotes for a month now. spring came and frankly went, leaving it's place to summer. i know it's technically still spring but with temperatures like 30°C i will call whatever this is "summer". i still have one more exam to take. i don't really feel like studying which is a problem.
music
this week i opened a bandcamp account and made my first purchase! i bought the full discography of my head is empty. you might've heard i was only temporary by them in meme edits but their discography is great. they suffer from multiple sclerosis and plan to release as much music as possible before they are unable to do so. i just wanted to support them despite my powerless against the dollar currency.
i've also tried to reorganise my whole music library. it's a monumental task of 20k songs that i underestimated heavily. i downloaded entire discographies of artists before. it's great but i don't need to download an album i will listen to maybe once a year. i use a patched version of youtube music (i've tried FOSS alternatives before, they aren't reliable) and i can stream those there if i want to. i want to keep the albums i actively want to listen downloaded. i'm going to use syncthing to sync the .opus files from my laptop to my phone while .flac's stay in my hard drive.
i'm also in the process of listening to the albums suggested to me via email. i plan on doing a post about them though i'm not an album critic so don't get your hopes up.
other stuff
i also recently got into magnus archives despite not being a podcast person. i'm on episode 7 now. it's a horror podcast from an archivist in the magnus institute. they research the paranormal and document it in voice notes.
blog things
another theme update... yeah i know. i just can't stop messing around with this stuff. this one was inspired by extremq. i noticed loading external fonts caused a bit of lag and frankly i don't really need external fonts. now i use system-ui variable to get whatever you use on your system. also i now have a dashboard theme that matches with my blog theme. both can be found here.
i usually do a bit more proof reading and polishing up with these posts but i don't have much time this week. this is a straight from the brain to blog kind of post. i hope the word vomit isn't too bad. now if you'll excuse me i gotta go and finish up some uni work.
